05

Sensitive and travel-related information

Some travel arrangements may require information that is more sensitive than ordinary contact details. For example, a traveller may voluntarily tell us about a dietary, accessibility or health-related requirement where that information is relevant to the safe or appropriate arrangement of requested travel services.

We aim to request only information reasonably necessary for the relevant purpose and to handle such information with additional care. Please do not send passport information, detailed medical information or other sensitive personal information through the general website enquiry form unless we specifically request it through an appropriate channel.

We do not sell your personal information.

Where necessary to respond to your request or arrange travel services, relevant information may be shared with third parties involved in providing or supporting those services. Depending on the trip, these may include accommodation providers, transport providers, guides, activity providers and other travel service providers.

We may also use technology or professional service providers that process information on our behalf or provide services necessary for operating our business.

Information may also be disclosed where required by law, regulation, lawful authority, legal proceedings, or where reasonably necessary to protect legal rights, safety or security.

We aim to disclose only information that is relevant and reasonably necessary for the purpose concerned.

07

Third-party services

Our website or communications may use or link to third-party services. These may include WhatsApp and Google Maps.

When you choose to interact with a third-party service, that provider may process information according to its own terms and privacy practices. We encourage you to review the privacy information provided by the relevant third party.

Where Google Maps or similar external content is embedded on the website, loading that content may result in requests to the third-party provider and may involve cookies or similar technologies. Our Cookie Policy provides further information about website technologies and cookie choices.

08

International data transfers

Travel arrangements and the technology services used to operate a modern website may involve organisations or systems located outside Kenya.

Where personal information is transferred outside Kenya, we will seek to handle such transfers in accordance with applicable Kenyan data protection requirements and use appropriate safeguards where required.

09

How long we keep information

We do not intend to retain personal information for longer than is reasonably necessary for the purpose for which it was collected.

The appropriate retention period may vary depending on the nature of the information, whether an enquiry becomes a booking, the services involved, our relationship with you, and applicable legal, accounting, regulatory or dispute resolution requirements.

When information is no longer reasonably required, we aim to delete, anonymise or otherwise securely dispose of it as appropriate.

10

How we protect personal information

We take reasonable organisational and technical measures intended to protect personal information against unauthorised access, loss, misuse, alteration or disclosure.

However, no website, internet transmission, email system or electronic storage method can be guaranteed to be completely secure. You should therefore take appropriate care when deciding what information to send through electronic communications.

Where information about a child is reasonably required in connection with a family booking, it should be provided by a parent, guardian or other appropriately authorised adult and will be handled only as necessary for the relevant travel arrangements and applicable obligations.
